Union County Fair Dates July 21 - 27, 2008
162 Years of Agriculture excellence!
Union County Fair has been in operation for 162 years. Let's reflect on
the years gone by and thank all those who have donated their time,
money, and products to make the fair what it is today. In 1845 Union
County held it's first fair down town. A few years later the fair was moved
to where it exists today. The oldest structure on the fair grounds today is
the Grand stand built in 1906.
Since the start of the fair volunteers have helped maintain, upgrade, and
put on the Union County Fair. These volunteers consist of the Board of
Directors, 4H extension office, Live Stock committee, 4H horse council,
Central Ohio Colt Association, the 4H groups, and their Moms and
Dads. These men, women, and children dedicate countless hours to
bring to you one fun filled week with rides, games, animals, projects of
all kinds, and the Grand Stand shows.
We are proud that Union county has one of the fastest growing 4-H
programs in the state. The 4H extension office and all its staff work hard
to bring wholesome activities and programs for our children to learn
and give them great respect for all facets of the Agriculture Society.
The fair operates largely on donated money and products from local
merchants and the community. Without their donations the fair you have
come to know and love would not exist. Enjoy the photos of past and
present and Please say thank you to all the sponsors big and small for
supporting your Union County Fair.
